Ed Okonowicz's schedule for public events and programs for 2008 are posted as received. (Please check with representatives at the site of the program, since events are subject to change.) For more information on costs and reservations, call the number listed. Here is the complete list, as of this time.

FORT DELAWARE & PORT PENN EVENTS
FORT DELAWARE's evening GHOST/HISTORY TOURS will begin the 12th season in June 2008.
These tours have been featured on The Learning Channel program "GHOST WATERS" and been the subject of numerous newspaper and magazine articles, as well and segments on regional radio and television.

ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY!
The scheduled dates for the 2008 GHOST/HISTORY TOURSwill be presented on Fridays in June, July August, September and the first weekend in October. One Saturday evening dinner tour will occur in September. The dates are listed below, in the general schedule of events.
PORT PENN MUSEUM programs will be presented on Friday evenings, June 27, July 18 and Aug. 1. See details below.
PLEASE NOTE: The summer GHOST/HISTORY TOURSfrom June 13 thorugh Oct. 4are different from the fort's October Halloween Tours. The summer GHOST/HISTORY tours are nearly 2-1/2 hours long from dock to island and return. They focus on the fort's history, mysteries and reported hauntings. They are guided by fort historian Dan Citron and storyteller and folklorist Ed Okonowicz.
Ed's book "Civil War Ghosts at Fort Delaware" is available in Delaware City at the Fort Delaware Civil War Gift Shop and the Imaginary Place, both located on Clinton Street.
SEASON BEGINS: Fort Delaware State Park opens for the 2008 season on Saturday, April 26. For details on hours, ferry schedule and special events, call the park office at (302) 834-7941.

PRIVATE or CLUB GATHERINGS/ANNIVERSARY/FAMILY EVENTSCEMETERY TOURS: Private cemetery history/ghost tours are available for those looking for an unusual private event. Free books are given to the guest(s) of honor. Suitable for small groups that want an out-of-this-earthly-world guided walk. Call for info.
Ed is a member of the Delaware Humanities Speakers Bureau and Visiting Scholars Programs, which support several of his presentations. The Maryland Humanities Council sponsors the Patriotic Music and Foodlore programs.
He and Mike Dixon also will meet with representatives of nonprofit groups, schools or organizations to develop town walking tours or cemetery tours or programs at historic sites that are excellent fundraisers.
They also will speak and guide bus groups that visit the area for conventions and conferences.
